These pieces were made with cone 5 Bmix clay on my potters wheel. Dark gray slip (a blend of liquified clay and black mason stain) was applied to the outside of each bowl to create the color. A subtle spiral shape was then pressed into the bowl, giving fingers a nice place to rest and making each one a bit unique. The bowls have a flat foot, pressed in as the piece was thrown.

These bowls were glazed in Milky Gloss glaze. They were fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.

Note for this specific clay and glaze combo: these colors are actually pretty consistent. Where you will see some variation is in the swirl on each bowl.

All of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.
