These beautiful cups are a great size for juice, soda, cocktails, or milk and cookies. The wood fired finish is beautiful on these little cups, they'll even look great sitting on your countertop while waiting to be washed!
The cups stand 4" tall, and they are 3 1/2" wide at the lip. They hold 8 ounces, and all of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.
These were thrown on my potters wheel using Rods Bod clay. They were wood fired in a wood kiln at the Desert Dragon Pottery in North Phoenix Arizona, in April of 2023. The inside of the cups are glazed with Emily Purple, and the outer surface was left bare.
The wood fire atmosphere brought out the deep earthy browns of the clay, and speckled the purple glaze inside the cups with some golden flecks of ash.
