This vase stands 5 inches tall, it's around 2" wide at the lip, and it measures a bit over 3" wide at the belly. It's small, but not tiny. The opening can handle a few flower stems, or maybe even a few treasured items, likes feathers, pens or paint brushes.

This piece was thrown on my potters wheel using white Bmix clay. The slip was made with the same clay, blended with a Robins Egg Blue stain. A layer of slip was added to the piece just after it was thrown, while it was still wet on the wheel. The texture was added by dragging a ragged brush through the piece and moving up, as it was spinning on the wheel. The Milky Gloss white glaze was then applied over the entire piece before it was glaze fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln.
