Woo Blue and Rutile Pedestal Bowl

This handmade ceramic pedestal bowl combines a generous, gently curved bowl with a sturdy raised foot, giving it a low, sculptural profile. Deep blue and purple tones cover the exterior, with subtle variations and flashes of lighter color that become especially apparent as the surface catches the light. Inside, the glaze opens up into warm golden-brown tones, creating a beautiful contrast with the darker exterior.

At 9 inches across and 4 1/4 inches tall, this is a substantial bowl with plenty of presence on a table or shelf. The wide, open form makes it feel both functional and sculptural – a piece that can be enjoyed for its beautiful surface even when it's not in use.

Details
This bowl measures a bit over 9" across the rim, and it stands 4.25" tall. At the base of the foot, it measures 6" across. The foot accounts for about 1.25" of the bowls total height.

Use
The generous size and wide, open shape make this pedestal bowl wonderfully versatile. Use it as a serving bowl for salads, fruit, snacks, or other foods, or as a decorative bowl for displaying seasonal objects, flowers, or other treasures. Its raised foot gives it a little extra presence, making it especially nice as a centerpiece or focal point on a table, counter, or shelf.

Process
This piece was thrown on my potter's wheel using Sonoran White stoneware clay. After the bowl was thrown, I let it dry partially to 'leather hard'. I then flipped the bowl over and reattached it to the center of the wheel. I then added a wet ring of clay to the bottom and threw the stem directly off the upside down bowl.

After it was dried and bisque fired, the bowls interior was glazed in Goldspot glaze, while the exterior and lip was glazed in Woo Blue glaze, a deep blue glaze that breaks to a rich brown over texture. A second layer of Rutile glaze was applied over the rim and outer bowl, up to the foot, adding some glossy swirls of lavender blue. This piece was fired to cone 10 in an oxygen reduced atmosphere.

The mug stands around 4.75 inches tall, and just over 3 inches across the lip. They hold around 12 ounces, and all of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.

This handmade wood-fired ceramic cup reveals the beautiful unpredictability of wood firing. The cup stands 3.5" tall, and measures 3.5" across the rim. This cup holds 11 ounces when full, or it can hold about 8 ounces of hot beverage in the belly, leaving the neck cool and easy to grasp.

Blue and Tan Rutile Planter with Drainage

This handmade ceramic planter has a dramatic, sculptural shape, with a deep cobalt blue glaze that contrasts beautifully with the lighter blue and earthy tones around the rim. The piece is wheel-thrown from Rods Bod clay and fired to cone 10 in reduction, creating a rich, layered finish that gives this planter plenty of character. Its flared opening and integrated drip catcher make it both a striking display piece and a functional home for your favorite plant.

Designed with drainage in mind, this planter has drainage holes and an attached drip catcher plate to collect excess water. It’s a lovely way to showcase a small houseplant while adding a splash of handmade color to a windowsill, shelf, or plant display.

This planter stands 5.75" tall, and measures 5.75" across the lip. It's approximately 4.5" wide at the base. The interior depth is about 5.5", with the bottom 1.75" narrowed to create some height. The pot includes two drainage holes, each about the size of a large bean, which drain into the attached plate.

Use
This planter makes a beautiful addition to a sunny windowsill, desk, or bookshelf. It’s suitable for indoor or outdoor use, making it a great option for a patio or porch. It's well-suited for houseplants, succulents, cacti, or herbs.

Care
All of my pottery is dishwasher safe.

Details
Standing 6.25" tall (without the spout), this bottle is crafted from durable BMix, a smooth white stoneware clay. The glossy blue and rutile glazes enhance its smooth surface, while the subtle swirl in the form make it very comfortable to grasp and use. The bottle measures nearly 3.5" across it's widest point, and it holds 14 ounces (around 420 ml) when full. I'll include both a plastic and metal spout with the piece, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

Fired in a cone 10 reduction kiln, the glaze takes on a depth and softness unique to this firing process. The piece is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, designed for everyday use.

Use
This bottle works beautifully for serving olive oil, vinegar, or syrups, and it can also double as a small vase for fresh greenery or flowers. Its timeless design makes it as useful as it is decorative.

Robins Egg Blue Green Splattered Textured Mug 14 oz

These one-of-a-kind mugs feature a slip textured surface with a fresh combination of soft robin's egg blue and bold cobalt blue. The transparent robins egg glaze lets the layers of blue slip show through, while the splattered areas add loose, spontaneous marks across the surface. At about 14 ounces, this is the larger version of my textured mug with a wide, bowl-like shape that makes it especially versatile. Mug Style A measures about 3.75" tall and 3.75" wide at the lip.

Robins Egg Blue Green Splattered Textured Mug 8 ounces

These one-of-a-kind mugs feature a slip textured surface in a soft Robin's Egg Blue glaze with splashes of cobalt and robins egg blue slip showing through underneath.
