Speckled White Vase

$55.00

This handmade speckled white ceramic vase is wheel thrown and gas reduction fired to cone 10, creating a warm, natural surface with subtle variation and depth. The creamy white glaze reveals delicate speckling throughout, giving the piece an organic, understated presence. With its gently narrowed neck and rounded belly, this vase offers a timeless silhouette that pairs beautifully with fresh flowers, dried stems, or minimalist styling.

Details
The vase measures approximately 8.5" tall and about 4" across the lip, with a softly narrowed inner opening of roughly 1.75" at the neck to help support floral arrangements. It sits on a 2.75" foot and reaches just over 4" at the widest part of the belly. The glaze surface is creamy white with natural speckling and subtle tonal variation from the cone 10 reduction firing.

Use
Ideal for fresh bouquets, garden cuttings, dried florals, or as a sculptural statement on its own. The narrowed neck helps hold stems upright, making arranging simple and balanced. Its neutral tone allows it to blend seamlessly into modern, farmhouse, or organic-inspired spaces.

Process
This piece was wheel thrown in my studio using Rods Bod clay. It was glazed all over with White Liner glaze and fired to cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln. Reduction firing carefully limits oxygen in the kiln atmosphere, encouraging depth and warmth in the glaze surface. Each vase is individually made and fired, resulting in subtle variations that make every piece one of a kind.
