Blue Green Plant Pot with Attached Drainage Saucer

$46.00

This handmade stoneware planter brings rich color and movement to your plant display. Finished in a layered blue-green glaze, the surface has a soft, oceanic quality, with subtle variations that shift across the form. The glaze breaks gently over the throwing lines, highlighting the texture and rhythm of the wheel-thrown shape.

The open form and wide lip give this piece an inviting presence, making it especially well-suited for fuller plants or sculptural succulents. Built-in drainage holes help support healthy growth while keeping the design clean and functional.

Details
This planter stands approximately 4" tall and measures 6.5" wide at the lip and 4.75" across the base. It was made using Sonoran White, a white stoneware clay, and fired to cone 10 in reduction. Two drainage holes - each about the size of a fingertip - are built into the base for proper drainage.

Use
Ideal for indoor or outdoor plants, herbs, or succulents. The rich blue-green tones complement both leafy greens and flowering plants, making this piece as decorative as it is functional.

Process
This planter was thrown on my potter’s wheel using Sonoran White stoneware. After shaping and drying, the piece was bisque fired and then finished with layered blue-green glazes. In cone 10 reduction firing, the glaze develops depth and variation, creating a softly shifting surface with a natural, semi-gloss finish.
