Process
This planter was made on my potter’s wheel using a stoneware clay. A swirl was added to the wet form to give the shape movement and texture. A drainage galley was thrown around the bottom of the pot, and two drainage holes were added at the base. The entire exterior and saucer were glazed with my Blue Green glaze, except for the rim. A pop of white glaze was added around the rim, the stoneware clay showing through the white glaze in speckles. The interior is unglazed.

This piece was fired to Cone 10 in reduction at Desert Dragon Pottery in North Phoenix.
