These handmade ceramic oil bottles bring a soft, organic touch to the kitchen, with layers of sandy tan, lavender, blue, and warm earthy tones flowing across their swirled forms. The glaze breaks and pools along the clays surface, creating subtle variations in color and pattern that give each bottle its own character.

These two bottles were made as a closely related pair, but they aren't identical – each has its own combination of glaze movement and variation. They can be purchased individually, or together as a set of two for a coordinated look.
Details
Bottle Style A: Stands 6 inches tall (with no spout) and holds 12 ounces. At the widest spot it's about 3.5" wide. The first 8 single bottle pictures show this bottle
Bottle Style B: Stands 5.5" tall (with no spout) and holds a bit over 11 ounces. It's about 3.75" wide at the shoulder. The last 8 single bottle pictures show this bottle.

Use
These bottles are ideal for olive oil, cooking oils, vinegar, or other pourable kitchen staples. Each bottle comes with both a metal and plastic pour spout, allowing you to choose the one best suited to what you're storing. The plastic spout is recommended for acidic liquids such as vinegar, while the metal spout is a great choice for oils and other non-acidic liquids. The controlled pour makes it easy to drizzle oil or vinegar while cooking, dressing a salad, or serving at the table.
They can also be used for other pourable ingredients or simply enjoyed as a beautiful functional accent on your kitchen counter or dining table.
Production
This piece was thrown on my pottery wheel using Sonaran White, a light colored stoneware clay. The bottles interior was glazed in Goldspot, and the exterior with Microcrystal Pearl. A second, different rutile glaze was layered over the lip, creating a deeper swirl of dark blues at the very top. This bottle was fired to cone 10 in a gas fueled kiln.
Rich layers of deep cobalt purple and spruce blue glaze give this handmade pottery mug a timeless, earthy character. Subtle variations in the clay and glaze create depth and movement across the surface, while the softly swirled form and comfortable handle make it a mug you'll naturally reach for every day. Each firing produces its own unique blend of blues, greens and browns, ensuring that no two mugs are ever exactly alike.
Details
These mugs all stand around 4.5 inches tall, and they measure approximately 3.5" inches across the lip. They hold 12 ounces, and all of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.
