Process
These mugs were made with Rods Bod clay on my potter's wheel. A white slip (a blend of water and white clay) was applied to the bottom section of the mug while it was still wet on the wheel. To create the texture, a ragged brush was drug through the wet slip as the cup slowly spun on the wheel.

The mugs were glazed with Goldspot glaze on the interior, and around the top of the cups. Rutile glaze was added over the entire outside.
