Spruce Blue Swirl Vase

This handmade ceramic vase is wheel thrown and finished in a rich, glossy blue green glaze with subtle tonal variation and depth. The gently shifting hues – from deeper spruce blue tones to softer, lighter blues swirling near the neck – highlight the form and give the surface a sense of movement. With its sculptural profile and luminous finish, this vase works beautifully as both a functional flower vessel and a striking standalone piece.

The vase stands approximately 9.25 inches tall, with a 4.25-inch wide lip and a fuller shoulder measuring about 4.75 inches at its widest point. The base measures approximately 3.5 inches across, and the inner opening narrows to just over 2 inches, making it well-suited for holding bouquets or a few carefully arranged stems. All of my pottery is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

This vase is ideal for fresh flowers, dried arrangements, or foraging finds, with a narrower neck that helps support and shape your arrangement. Its height and presence also make it a beautiful decorative piece on its own – perfect for shelves, tables, or as a centerpiece. The bold blue glaze pairs easily with a variety of styles, from modern to more traditional or collected interiors.

This piece was thrown on my potter's wheel using B-Mix clay, a white stoneware. After drying and bisque firing, the vase was glazed all over in blue blue green glaze. Then the vase was dipped from the lip down to the shoulder in rutile glaze, in order to add some movement and interest to the deep blue green. The vase was fired to cone 10 in a reduced oxygen atmosphere.

The mug stands around 4.75 inches tall, and just over 3 inches across the lip. They hold around 12 ounces, and all of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Woo Blue and Rutile Pedestal Bowl

This handmade ceramic pedestal bowl combines a generous, gently curved bowl with a sturdy raised foot, giving it a low, sculptural profile.
