Details
This planter stands 4.5" tall and 5.5" wide at the lip. It's inner depth is 4.25", with the bottom 1.25" narrowed. The base is about 4 1/4" wide, and the interior of the planter is unglazed. Two drainage holes – each about the size of my fingertip – are built into the narrowed base to promote healthy drainage.

Perfect for a house plant,, succulent, or herb, this planter brightens up any indoor space and works beautifully outdoors as well. Its integrated drainage plate makes it easy to care for your plants while keeping surfaces tidy.

Process
This planter was made on my potter’s wheel using cone 5 B-Mix, a white stoneware clay. A textured layer of slip (a mix of clay and water) was applied with a jagged brush to create the soft slip ridges. The form was finished with a dip of white glaze over the lip of the planter, followed by a glossy robins egg blue glaze over the exterior, up to just below the lip. The piece was fired to Cone 6 in my electric kiln, at my studio in Avondale Arizona.

The mug stands around 4.75 inches tall, and just over 3 inches across the lip. They hold around 12 ounces, and all of my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.

These one-of-a-kind mugs feature a slip textured surface with a fresh combination of soft robin's egg blue and bold cobalt blue.
