Measuring 6.5" tall, 3" across the lip, and about 3.5" wide at the belly, this vase is made from durable white stoneware and fired to cone 6. The inside is finished with a milky gloss white glaze, while the outside features a textured surface beneath the transparent robin’s egg blue glaze.
Use
Perfect for small flower arrangements, greenery, or as a bright accent piece on a shelf or side table. Its cheerful tone pairs beautifully with both modern and rustic decor. The piece is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
Process
This vase was wheel-thrown on my potter's wheel using cone 5 BMix, a white stoneware clay. White clay slip (watered down clay blended smooth) was applied to create a textured surface before glazing. After bisque firing, the piece was glazed in my robins egg blue and milky gloss white glazes. It was then fired to cone 6, resulting in a glossy, durable finish that highlights the subtle texture beneath the green-blue glaze.
